Apto Solutions is a long-term Hire Ventures client and an innovator in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services, maintaining the highest ITAD standards and certifications attainable. Over the years, they’ve demonstrated a strong track record of performance for technology manufacturers, global Fortune 500, financial institutions, and data center providers.
A tight post-Covid employee market and high turnover made it hard for Apto to keep up with their growing hiring needs. With a new Amazon Warehouse opening up close by, Apto experienced a drop in qualified warehouse candidates for their largest location in Atlanta.
Despite their inclusive company culture and opportunities, Apto struggled with attracting the right talent. The problem? Their new story wasn’t getting out there, and negative employee reviews from the decade before, created a larger challenge to attract candidates with their new culture.
Ultimately, Apto needed a way to attract applicants who more closely matched requirements and culture and increase candidate flow.
The Solution – Recruitment Refresh
To compete in today’s market, employers can’t just post an opening on a job board, and expect a steady stream of quality candidates to appear. There’s a lot more to it than that.
Hire Ventures proposed a Recruitment Audit to review Apto’s online presence across multiple platforms, including Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Google, and Facebook. We call this an Employer Brand. We also suggested a review of the career page and application process to ensure the best candidate experience.

Employer Branding Refresh
Working in partnership with the Apto team, we developed a comprehensive plan to craft an authentic company narrative and promote messaging that reflected Apto’s supportive culture and boosted its image as an employer of choice.
Next, we ensured that the messaging could be found on the social platforms candidates visited most often. We recrafted the company profiles on Indeed and Glassdoor, adding team photo’s and employee experience sharing on LinkedIn.
Additionally, we pulled every employee review (over 100!) across the various platforms, creating thoughtful responses to each one. Important as you only get one chance at a response on many recruiting platforms. We also provided a guide on how to respond to future reviews, even those that may not be positive to ensure this can be maintained.
Since executing the recruiting audit and implementing changes, Apto saw considerable increases in candidate flow. Applicants rose by 36% in Q3 and 45% in Q4.
The quality of the applicants improved as well. And because Apto was attracting people who appreciated their team culture, retention naturally increased. From the words of a recent hire:
