We all know that building an inclusive culture isn’t about checking boxes, posting a message once a month, pizza Fridays or a ping-pong table. It’s also not about changing a logo or sharing a hashtag, and it should never feel like a campaign that starts and stops.
At Hire Ventures, we believe inclusion means consistently showing up and creating space for people to be seen, valued, and supported all year long. For our company, what we do for clients could be deemed somewhat transactional, providing recruiting and HR services. However, our company was founded in a passion for EQUALITY and with that, we focus on helping our clients to build inclusive workplaces, from hiring through all phases of the employee lifecycle. This is don’t not just through words but also through the policies, practices, and daily actions that shape how people experience work.
Celebrating Culture with Intention
Whether it is Pride Month, Black History Month, Veterans Day, or the Fourth of July, we believe each cultural moment deserves to be approached with positive intent, authenticity, and purpose. These are not boxes to check, but opportunities to create space for voices to be heard, histories to be honored, and people to feel seen and celebrated. Quite honestly, we also find joy in moving through the year with these themes. It feels authentic to who we are and allows us to share a bit of positivity and reflection with our community.
As a small team, we have intentionally invested in making sure our consultants understand and embody our values. This allows them to guide our clients in building cultures that reflect those same values. As a consulting partner to growing businesses, we are often the catalyst for these efforts, and we are proud to play that role. Culture is not just something you have, it is something you actively shape, and it is always evolving.
In the words of our Founder & CEO, Teresa Murphey:
“Our team at Hire Ventures is truly special, and the work we do with our clients is incredibly rewarding. Building a company culture for our team to thrive has been one of the greatest highlights of my career. There is nothing else I would rather do than partner with our amazing team in the work we do for our clients to help them find and keep great talent…and it helps to be able to enjoy the journey and have some fun along the way.”
How We Practice Inclusive Culture Every Day
Inclusivity is part of how we recruit, how we advise our clients, and how we operate internally. Our team leads with generosity, collaborates with purpose, and works with intention, helping clients build environments where their people feel safe, supported, and empowered.
Here are a few ways we stay intentional:
-
Customized DEI Training: We equip our team and clients to recognize unconscious bias, use inclusive language, and design recruiting practices that welcome all candidates. DEI education is part of our internal onboarding and training that we can create for our clients.

Year-Round Celebrations: Culture isn’t about spotlighting one group for one month. It means honoring all forms of diversity, visible and invisible, and making it part of the rhythm of your business.

A Tool to Keep the Momentum Going
We know it’s not always easy to stay on top of both culture and compliance, especially for busy leaders. That’s why we created our Culture and Compliance Calendar, a resource to help your team plan meaningful moments while staying aligned with key HR deadlines.
This resource highlights cultural observances and compliance dates throughout the year. It helps you stay proactive, intentional, and people-centered in everything you do.

Culture Start with Leadership
We’ve seen firsthand that when leadership champions inclusion, culture becomes more than words on a wall. It becomes something people feel and want to be part of. Something they believe in. Something that brings teams together and helps them grow.
As we reflect on recent events and look ahead, we invite you to ask:
✨ How are you showing up for your people, not just during cultural moments, but every day?
✨ What does real celebration look like in your workplace?
✨ How are you ensuring your efforts are consistent, intentional, and values-aligned?
If you’re ready to build a culture that is more inclusive, more sustainable, and more reflective of who you truly are, we’d love to help. Book a call today!
