Who Is Vision Government Solutions?

Vision Government Solutions is a private equity-owned company that provides both mass appraisal services and appraisal software solutions to municipalities throughout the US. Their expansive growth had been fueled organically and via multiple acquisitions over the past few years. Their management team had invested heavily in its people, service and software to deliver the best products and customer service.

The Challenge – Sudden Loss of an HR Leader

There were a lot of balls in the air when the Vision leadership team got word that their HR leader needed to take an immediate leave of absence. All those newly acquired companies had different cultures, technology, and policies.

Additionally, they had recently moved off their PEO platform thus creating an entirely new comp and benefit rollout, from payroll, medical and 401k.  They needed help to bridge the gap with the sudden leave of their HR leader to ensure nothing was missed.

Additionally, as acquisitions are a challenge for any organization, they needed a strong leader who could step in to drive the People processes and integrate the teams, while handling the day-to-day.

The Solution

Through a trusted referral, Vision’s CEO was introduced to Hire Ventures and contacted our Founder – Teresa Murphey. Hire Ventures offers various HR services for both growing and established companies – and Vision needed someone who could not only manage the day-to-day but help lead strategic initiatives on an interim basis.

The HR leader we placed hit the ground running. She was a seasoned strategic executive with extensive human capital experience in building culture and employee engagement to drive productivity and engagement. She had previous success leading and scaling a high-performing organization and with the Hire Ventures talent team behind her to help with the day-to-day, she was able to provide value from day one.


Our consultant quickly got her arms around the HR needs of Vision Government, surveying the overall scope, determining the best plan of action, and presenting that plan to the executive team. By building relationships with all the key stakeholders, she established her leadership position and acumen – which gave her the credibility to get things done.

Our client was exceptionally pleased with the results. So much so that when Vision learned their HR leader was not returning – they hired our consultant to replace her in a full-time capacity.
