Samtek is a federal government technology and consulting company focused on modernizing systems that serve millions of Americans.
Hire Ventures began working with Samtek in April 2024 to manage open enrollment and address challenges with its professional employer organization (PEO). As we learned more about the business, we identified additional opportunities to improve HR operations and take on a larger role through Fractional HR services.
The Challenge
Samtek was growing, and managing HR was becoming more complicated. An employee without a formal HR background had been handling HR responsibilities and was preparing to leave the company. Our team managed the transition from start to finish, putting a system in place that better fit the business while significantly reducing monthly costs.
Hire Ventures also took on a larger role during Samtek’s internal HR transition. Through an ongoing Fractional HR engagement, we work as an extension of the company’s team, managing HR responsibilities, advising on compliance and employee matters, and addressing day-to-day challenges as they arise.
Today, Samtek has access to experienced HR professionals without hiring a full-time HR leader. Its leadership team also has a trusted partner to turn to when HR questions or challenges come up.
